Profiles of our board members


Karolis is a Chartered Engineer with 6 years of experience in implementing technology projects spanning concepts, development, and industrialization. Having worked in railway and aerospace industries across engineering and project management roles, Karolis is excited about making sci-fi a reality. Currently, Karolis is a Project Lead at Rolls-Royce, managing a portfolio of Business Aviation cost improvement projects. Rolls-Royce pioneers in cutting-edge technologies that deliver power solutions across civil and defense sectors. Since becoming a LEO in Berlin member in 2019, Karolis joined the board in 2020 and was elected President in 2021.


Inga, one of the founders of LEO in Berlin, who laid the foundations for the first official Lithuanian professional club in Germany. Since 2022 she is working as a Lithuanian commercial attache in Germany, where she is taking care of strengthening economic relations between Lithuania and Germany, promoting exports from Lithuania, attracting investment and tourists to Lithuania, as well as bilateral cooperation in science and innovation.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Law, which she has successfully applied in her current position on the LEO Board – Inga is the club’s treasurer, responsible for the club’s financial and legal affairs.


Simonas is an all-round professional with a technical background and international business development experience in the mobility industry. In his professional role as Business Development Lead Nordics at FAIRTIQ, he’s responsible for generating business growth opportunities and strategic partnerships in Scandinavian markets. FAIRTIQ is crowned one of the four best mobility start-ups, in Europe, at European Startup Prize. In addition, Simonas joined LEO in Berlin in 2020 as a member of the professionals club since then his role has evolved to Event Coordination Officer and Board Member.


Gintarė is a B2B Sales Operations professional in but in her job it is not about selling goods or services – she sells Lithuania as a business destination for foreign companies. Even though Gintarė is based in Berlin, her connection to the home country is very close since she works for a national investment promotion agency and takes care of the global presence of her agency. She joined LEO in Berlin in 2021 as a member of the professionals club and was soon elected as a Marketing Officer and Board Member.

Ieva pecukevičiūtė

Ieva is a Business and Economics graduate working as a Human Resources Management professional in the field of Total Rewards, who after work puts her musician and improviser hat on. Before coming to Berlin to work for a global mobility startup TIER, Ieva was working for a Latvian-based HRM consulting firm. Ieva still keeps her ties with the Baltics by continuing her consulting path on the side in Employer Branding and Total Rewards fields. Ieva is also passionate about writing and joined the Board as an Internal Communications Officer in 2022 after joining the club in 2021.


Rūta became a member and joined the board of the Lithuanian professionals club in 2020. She is responsible for the outreach activities, among other with the Global Lithuanian Leaders Network, professional clubs in other countries, and the Lithuanian Embassy in Berlin. An environmental scientist by education, she has more than 25 years of experience in environmental policy and sustainable development consulting. She works in Ecologic Institute in Berlin – elected as the Top Environment Policy Think Tank in World-wide Ranking.. The development and implementation of environmental policy in Lithuania is part of her work activities.
